Microchipping

We can microchip your animal in your own home so they feel at ease. We use the Pet-Detect System of Microchipping and are fully trained through the Pet Detect System. All dogs that we microchip will be given a tag to say they have been chipped by the Pet-Detect System. The pet-detect® microchipping system is fully compliant and is recognized as one of the best chips you can use! In dogs and cats and small 'furries', the chip sits in the fatty tissue just under the skin and is totally inert - no batteries, no magnets and no moving parts. The pet-detect® microchip has the LEAST amount of components than any other brand - reliability is built in. Animals must be 10 weeks old before Critterz will microchip you pet.

It's also important to know that Petlog are part of EuroPetNet. EuroPetNet cleverly connect several European databases together - so even if your pet is lost whilst you're on holiday in France or Spain or another European country, you still have a good chance of being reunited with it.

Petlog is the official UK database and is run by the UK Kennel Club. They have one 24/7 telephone number - 0870 6066 751. All pet-detect® chips are registered with Petlog.
