Animal Education

Here at Critterz we believe in children gaining as much experience with animals whilst they are young. This teaches them the values of good animal care, along with them getting up close and personal with the more unusual pets.

   The animals we use to educate children and adults are:Cockroaches, Guinea Pigs, Scorpians, Snakes, Tortoises, Dogs, Gerbils, gekos, Rabbits, Giant Snails. All of these animals are friendly and tame. We are very flexiable.

Wildlife Education 

Lisa has an Environmental Management degree and has always been passionate about wildlife and animals. We can offer various wildlife activities tailored to your needs. In Little Dragons Nursery Lisa has been doing the following: Minibeast hunting; snail hunting; vegetable growing;frog lifecycles; butterfly lifecycles; wildlife crafts;bird cakes; bark rubbings; sunflower growing competition.

Lisa has had vast experience of surveying bats and has some great recordings of bat sounds which children are fascinated by as it is not something people normally get to experience.

Rick has just joined mini critterz, he has been keeping and handling reptiles since he was 11 years old (23 years experience), he has a great deal of knowledge and experience and will be a welcomed addition to mini critterz. Some of his animals include snakes, scorpians, gekos, mice, rats, mantids and frogs.

Please contact Lisa for information, please note we do charge a rate for this, normally £15.00 per hour. We will come and visit you for free for an initial visit.

N.B We do require consent forms from parents before handling any animals, any allergy information must be disclosed.
